After months of planning and public feedback, Core Transit is excited to share some outrageously beneficial updates to the upcoming winter schedule.
- The current summer schedule will be extended by one week to November 30, 2024. The winter schedule begins December 1 through April 13, 2025
We love fare-free and know you do too - not to worry - all the same routes from this summer will continue to be fare-free this winter and beyond.
We’ve made some service enhancements as we roll into winter. Check them out below.
Highway 6 – We’ve added:
More buses at peak times
More express routes to and from places like Walmart, Vail, and Edwards
More shadow buses as needed because our buses are becoming more popular than Taylor Swift
First Bus departs Lake Creek at 5:00 a.m. which is 40 minutes earlier than last year!
Last bus departs VTC at 01:05 a.m., which is almost 2 hours later than last year, and once it completes the HWY 6 route. It will then continue to the Valley Route stops through Gypsum.
The Valley Route – We’ve added:
More buses at peak times
More express routes from Eagle – some of which now include sylvan lake and 5th & wall
More shadow buses because we want you to arrive at your destination on-time and be comfortable
New stops on some routes at Chamonix (Conoco) in West Vail and Cascade Village
First bus departs Gypsum at 5:24 a.m.
Last dedicated Valley Route bus departs VTC at 11:20 p.m. (PRO TIP: the 1:05am HWY 6 bus will also continue to the Valley Route Stops through Gypsum)
Vail/ BC Express – We’ve added:
- Extra stops at peak times at employee housing stops in Avon
We’ll continue to run a bus every 20 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Minturn/Leadville – Still holding strong with the same level of service as this summer.
